Dr. Gertjan van Baarle
is the managing director of LSI and has over a decade of experience in succesfull leading a high- tech SME, scanning probe microscopy and low temperature instrumentation and has a published several articles. During his PHD at Leiden University, he designed and built a 300mK STM compatible with UHV and high magnetic fields. He joined LSI from the start, being responsible for all the scientific- and business-developments in the company
Ing. Dian van der Zalm
has over a decade of experience in designing SPMs and devices for nano-manipulation as the chief engineer in the group of prof. Oosterkamp at Leiden University. in the past few years he designed the modifications for the cryogen-free dilution refrigators in this group and was responsible for the technical project management in several scientific projects. He joined LSI from the start, being responsible for all the technological developments in the company, has published several articles and holds several patent applications
